I'm reminded of Steve Martin in 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' in his Neal Page meltdown, directed at Del: “By the way, you know, when you're telling these little stories, here's a good idea: Have a point. It makes it so much more interesting for the listener!”
Fun film Matt. The other 'point' that could be made is when people take forever to get to their point because they think you really care about their eight minute back story.
Big time. I have been consciously thinking about how I might get to the point more quickly in a post. I struggle with wanting clarity and context, yet I also know no one cares. It’s a discipline.
And yes, great film. You know. Carrie-Ann gives you Aristotle or a quote from classic literature. My immediate references for you are all comedy.
